MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck off the coast of Surigao del Norte on Thursday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its latest bulletin, Phivolcs reported that the quake occurred at 2:14 p.m. and was located some 21 kilometers (km) east of Burgos in Surigao del Norte.
The tremor, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 13 km.

rollbit casinoHowever, Phivolcs told INQUIRER.net in a phone call that the initial report was based on an automatic solution or preliminary data generated by its monitoring system.
Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla led the Philippine delegation to the Middle East country during the mission that runs until October 15.
